While electric underfloor heating systems were used only in stadiums where the winters were cold and harsh, nowadays these systems have become preferred in stadiums in many places regardless of weather conditions. In addition to stadiums, electric floor heating systems are also used in open sports fields, golf courses and athletic fields.

With electric underfloor heating systems, icing that will occur in the winter months is prevented, as well as snow accumulation in these areas in heavy snowfalls. Electric underfloor heating systems can be applied both in stadiums under construction and in stadiums with existing turf.

In this system, the spacing of the heating cables varies between 18 and 40 cm. The distance between the cables is adjusted according to the installed power. The installed capacity varies according to the type of soil of the stadium, seasonal conditions and geographical situation. The installed power is between 50 W and 100 W/m2 under normal conditions.

In the electric floor heating system, the cables are laid at a depth of 20 – 25 cm below the soil. The aim is to prevent the system from being damaged during use of the stadium.

Electric underfloor heating is also installed in the water channels in the stadiums , allowing the waste water to be easily discharged from the field. These systems are automated systems and are built in a way that will not cause loss of life or property.

They are systems controlled by special software. By means of sensors placed in the stadium, the temperature values can be observed on a regional basis and the system can be controlled. This system, which consists of independent systems, can also be activated locally or passively when necessary.
